Brows frame the face and can make a big difference to your look, but the upkeep to ensure perfect brows every day can be a bit much. Looking to avoid the extra time spent on makeup? Brow lamination will ensure your brows look their best every day without the work.

Expert Brow Lamination in Phoenix, AZ

Brow lamination is the latest secret to the full, glossy brows of your dreams. If you’re looking for the solution to sparse or unruly brows, look no further than Gameela Skin in Phoenix, AZ {yes, it’s me Nancy}. I have been serving the Phoenix community for over 10 years, and have the knowledge and experience in brow lamination to ensure you get the results you’re looking for.

What is Brow Lamination?

Brow lamination is, essentially, a perm for your brows. The lamination process helps change the natural growth pattern of your potentially unruly brows, and set them so they stay “brushed up” for around 6-8 weeks post-lamination. If you love the look of soap brows, a brow lamination is essentially a permanent soap brow look with minimal maintenance.

The Brow Lamination Process at Gameela Skin

Through years of brow lamination experience, Gameela Skin has really perfected the process. Each lamination treatment follows the same steps, and during your appointment I’ll check-in with you along the way to make sure the end result is brows that you love. The process goes a little something like this:

Step 1: If you decide to start your lamination with a brow wax & shape - we’ll start your treatment with just that. Following your brow wax, I will start by applying a skin barrier cream to the area around your eyebrows. This cream will protect the skin and create a safety barrier between your freshly waxed skin and the solution that will be applied to laminate the brows. This cream also helps to soothe any irritation that naturally occurs post-wax.

I’ll then apply the first solution, which is our permanent gel. This gel will work to erase the natural chemical structure of your brows, so whether they have a cowlick or they’re naturally more curly, the way they normally sit will be removed with the permanent gel - leaving them ready to be shaped however you want them! Once this gel is applied, a piece of saran wrap is placed over the brows and the solution will sit to allow it time to work its magic.

Step 2: Once the permanent gel has done its *job* I’ll move on to applying the second solution: the neutralizing cream. This cream will repair any bonds that were broken through the permanent gel process and set the new direction of hair growth into place.

During this step, I’ll shape, or laminate, the brows so they sit how you’d like them for the final result. I will then add a piece of saran wrap over your brows, so the solution can be set.

If you wish to tint your brows, we can do so after the neutralizing cream.

Step 3: The final step in our lamination process will be applying the regenerating cream to replenish any moisture that might be lost in the process. This cream will leave a glaze on the brows that will need to stay on for 24-hours, then it can be washed off with a gentle face wash.

Brow Lamination Aftercare

The brow lamination process involves pretty minimal aftercare, but there are a few rules of thumb to ensure the process works and your brows stay set for as long as possible.

For at least 24-hours post-lamination, make sure to avoid moisture, heat, steam, working out, or anything else that might get your brows wet. Try to avoid sleeping face down the night after your lamination, to avoid messing up your brows throughout the night.

48-hours after your appointment, you can apply a castor oil or another hydrating balm to your brows. Keep applying a moisturizing balm or oil to the brows daily to keep up with the best results throughout the 6-8 weeks that your lamination lasts. You can read more about my recommendations for brow lamination aftercare here.

Top Brow Lamination Questions

Brow lamination might sound too good to be true - but trust me it’s not! Some of the most frequently asked questions I get about this amazing process include:

Who should get a brow lamination?

A brow lamination can be a great choice for anyone who doesn’t want to worry about their brows every day. If you have unruly brows that take a lot of time to care for or stubborn natural hair growth patterns, lamination can help save you time dealing with the brows. If you love the look of soap brows but don’t enjoy the process, lamination can give you a permanent soap brow look. If you deal with sparse brows, but want the appearance of fluffier, feathered brows, lamination can help.

Is Brow Lamination Safe?

Brow lamination is 100% safe. All of the solutions used throughout the process are safe and will not damage your skin or hair. I take safety a step further by applying the barrier cream at the beginning of every treatment - this cream ensures that the chemicals used on your brow hairs will not cause any irritation during the lamination process.

How long does eyebrow lamination last?

With proper care, your laminated brows can last up to 8 weeks. That’s more than a month of waking up every morning with fluffed up brows that require minimum maintenance.

How much does brow lamination cost?

Brow lamination, like many other beauty processes, is an investment that will save you time, and possibly money depending on your current brow care routine. At Gameela Skin, brow lamination costs $75. With an added brow wax, your treatment will cost $105.
