The Best Beauty Treatments for Fall
We’ve talked a lot about transitioning your skin from Summer to Fall. If you haven’t read our latest blog post for our Fall skincare tips, check it out here! We’re talkin’ which ingredients you should be incorporating this Fall, products to add to your skin care routine, & more. Let’s kick it up a notch and chat about how YOU can give yourself (and your skin) a little more love this Fall season. In addition to tweaking your at-home skincare routine for the colder months, there are a few non-invasive treatments you can book (and take home with you) to renew your skin for the Fall and Winter months!
Exfoliate Your Skin With Dermaplaning
If you haven’t already booked a dermaplaning appointment with us, Fall is the perfect time to give it a try! The Fall and Winter months are known as “Peel Season”. Why? As the weather cools down, we tend to stay inside more which naturally lowers the level of UV exposure to our skin. This gives our skin a much needed break and creates the perfect opportunity for some deeper exfoliation - this is where dermaplaning comes in!
Dermaplaning is our favorite (and very effective) exfoliation treatment! Our esthetician uses a surgical scalpel to “shave” the surface of your skin. It not only removes peach fuzz but also does an amazing job getting rid of dead skin cells to give your skin a fresh (& smooth) new surface. It’s the perfect treatment for the Fall season as it helps your skin shed all of the dead cells that you accumulated from a few months spent in the sun. Bonus: After a dermaplaning treatment your skincare products will penetrate deeper into your skin & be that much more effective. Plus there’s no down time after your treatment!

Fall is for Facials
Fall is like the beginning of a new equinox for your skin. Seriously! It’s the best time of year to rejuvenate your skin and repair all the summer sun damage.
How can scheduling a facial benefit your skin:
A facial can help clean out clogged pores! Summertime comes with excessive sun screen (we hope), sweat, and dirt. All of which can clog your pores and lead to breakouts or irritation.
Facials will also help get rid of dead skin cells! Did you know that the bronzed, sun kissed skin you worked so hard for is actually dead cells that need to be sloughed off to make way for the fresh new skin underneath? A facial is a great way to help uncover your new skin.
Facials will help give your skin the moisture it needs! Our customized facial treatments use a variety of products, massage techniques, and equipment that will leave your skin fresh and hydrated.
With all of the benefits above and more, facials are vital for repairing your skin. The effects from sun, wind, pollution, etc. can cause permanent damage if they’re not addressed. Facials can help reverse this damage and keep your skin in its best shape.
Take Care of your Hands and Feet
Skin care isn’t just for your face. If you’re like us, your hands & feet seem to be the driest in the winter months. Especially with all of the hand sanitizer we use these days!
Our hands and feet endure quite a lot throughout a busy day. The average person walks about 4,000 steps per day (at least) doing countless activities! Working out, walking the dog, cleaning the dishes, folding the laundry, & for us - treating our amazing clients. Although we try to take care of ourselves on a regular basis, it’s easy to neglect our hands and feet.
To show them the love they deserve, we recommend trying our exfoliating foot peel by Patchology! The “PoshPeel Pedi Cure” is a wearable, foot mask that is formulated with an advanced AHA + BHA botanical blend to help dissolve dead skin and exfoliate rough patches.
We recommend wearing the PoshPeel for about 60-90 minutes. After you remove the sock, the actual peeling will take place over the course of one week, to then leave your feet feeling like new!
Similar to the foot mask above, our “Rice Milk + Rose Hand Remedy” by Whish Beauty is the perfect addition to your Fall skincare routine. Its rich and moisturizing solution is made of up alpha hydroxy acid, glycolic acid, and mallow extract. This trio of ingredients will work to smooth dry or tired hands, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and help fade the appearance of brown spots. Stay consistent with application and you’ll be showing off your hands in no time!
Keep Your Lips Hydrated
Last but not least, cracked lips. The Fall and Winter months can be a brutal time of year for your lips (especially if you live in a snowy climate). The combination of cold air, wind chills, and cranked heater isn’t exactly our best friend! Our lips may react differently to this type of climate as they’re actually a different skin type than the rest of our face and body. They are thin and delicate, so they require a little extra TLC.
To keep your lips in tip top shape for the holiday season, we recommend incorporating our favorite trio: lip scrub, hydrating lip gels, and lip gloss. Not sure where to start? Try out our Whish Beauty Lip Scrub, available in a few different flavors. This gentle sugar exfoliation will leave your lips softer, smoother, and more plump! Following the scrub, lock in the moisture with our Patchology Hydrating Lip Gels. These are made to quickly moisturize your lips and soften your pout! Finish off the trio with Lip Service by Patchology. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid, aloe, and honey to lock in all the hydration your lips need!
