Favorite Fall Inspired Skin Products

At the shift of each season, I find myself reminding my clients of the best way{s} to help their skin adapt to the change in weather, temperature, humidity, etc. During the summertime, I lean towards lighter skin products. In the cold winter months, I recommend a heavier moisturizer and products that will help avoid dry skin. Well, we’re officially in the Fall {and soon-to-be Winter} season. Temperatures have dropped slightly {raise your hand if you’re here in Arizona} and it’s time to take a look at your medicine cabinet to switch out some of the skincare products you might be using on a daily basis. In this blog, I’m going to share a few recommendations for skincare this Fall - PLUS give you a few of my favorite products I like to incorporate during the Fall and Winter months!

Best Fall Cleanser

As I’ve said in the past, your cleanser is the backbone of your skincare routine - so, yes, the product you select will impact your skin. Selecting a specific cleanser based on the season is actually easier than you think! Winter is harsh on our skin. It’s cold, windy, and dry. This means we need to be {extra} kind to our skin by applying products that will provide healing support and rejuvenate hydration.

As a general rule of thumb, I recommend selecting a cleanser that is formulated with mild ingredients. Scan the label for ingredients like ceramides or hyaluronic acid; these can both help retain moisture and calm irritation brought on by cold weather.

When Fall rolls around, I always add Rhonda Allison’s pumpkin cleanser into my skincare routine. This cleanser is the foundation of our autumn-inspired skincare regime. It’s formulated to provide a deep and nutrient-dense cleanse. Its L-Lactic acid helps soften and loosen dead skin cells {which we tend to have more of in the Fall & Winter months} while the pumpkin extract feeds the skin a healthy mix of antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrients. Additional benefits: It helps decrease age spots, heal dehydrated skin & is a great option for those with sensitive skin. Bonus: its ingredients give the softest scent of Fall!

You can shop for the pumpkin cleanser online or in person at my studio.

Best Face Mask For Fall

In addition to changing up your cleanser, get your skin through the colder temperatures with a weekly face mask application. I don’t know about you, but nothing sounds better than applying a face mask and getting cozy on the couch on a cold Fall day {hello, self care}!

When considering which mask to apply to help combat the effects that Winter has on the skin, you’ll want to look for a product that will provide antioxidants and restore the moisture that skin tends to lack in the Winter.

I recommend grabbing Rhonda Allison’s pumpkin parfait enzyme for your next at-home facial treatment. Not only will the scent give you all the Fall vibes of your favorite Fall candle, but this mask is a highly active, natural fruit-acid enzyme that works to smoothen skin texture and boost antioxidant support. By applying this pumpkin enzyme mask 1-2 times per week, you’ll be able to slough off your dead skin cells and brighten your complexion by uncovering a fresh new layer of skin.

I offer this product for both in the studio, salon treatments, and at-home use. Shop the pumpkin parfait enzyme online here! For those who will be applying the mask at home, try pairing it with our custom face mask brush applicator. A mask brush will enhance cleanliness, save product, and assure a seamless application. Fall Lip Care

Is it just me, or are bold lip colors a seasonal look? I find myself grabbing darker shades in the Fall and Winter months. Pro tip: lipstick goes on smoother {& stays on longer} when your lips are hydrated and free of cracks!

To avoid your lips falling victim to the cold Fall weather, you have to really work to take care of them! The recipe for plump lips is quite simple - keep them hydrated, use a lip scrub weekly & wear your SPF.

Aside from drinking plenty of water and applying SPF daily {multiple times per day} I recommend picking up the Spiced Pumpkin Lip Treatment Duo by Whish Beauty - it truly is the perfect cure for dry lips. This two in one Fall inspired treatment does two things:

  1. The lip scrub exfoliates dry, damaged lips to get rid of any dead skin

  2. And the intensely moisturizing lip balm (which is applied immediately following the scrub) keeps your lips soft and smooth all day.

I recommend using it 2-3 times per week - your holiday red lip will thank you later!
